The Erasmus+ Capacity Building project in higher education SIPAS involving 4 higher education institutions and 5 associate partners emphasizes the development and delivery of innovative study modules. training programs for staff, ICT integration, and the establishment of departments and labs are also key components, aimed at improving administrative efficacy and fostering a global learning environment. The project implementation period is from December 2024 to November 2026 with the total budget of 720,918.00 EUR.

General Objectives of the SIPAS project are:

1. Developing Capabilities in Sustainable Tourism, Hospitality and Services;
2. Contributing to EU's External Education Policies;
3. Enhancing Sector Employment through Critical Skills Thinking.

Specific Objectives of the SIPAS project are:

1. Optimise Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment;
2. Increase Industry Collaboration and Fostering Partnerships for Study module development;
3. Integrating AR/VR and Technologies in Learning;
4. Support Inclusive and Diverse Learning Environments;
5. Increase the quality of teaching, learning and assessment of learning outcomes;
6. Addressing Governance Challenges in achieving sustainable employability opportunities in HEIs.

Fully new study module will be developed: Implementation of virtual and augmented reality applications for tourism sector (M1). 3 study modules will be created on the existing courses via innovative study methods such as Living labs, team works, problem solving solutions, prototyping, field trips and interactive lectures: (M2) Stakeholder engagement and partnership for smart and more resilient tourism, (M3) Entrepreneurship and green competencies for greening and sustainable tourism business (M4), Economic and business trends in Asia (master level and lifelong learners). Overall 577 students and 20 members from academic staff and 10 from administrative staff from India will benefit from the new and improved study modules, courses (32ECTS), workshops; 2 I Labs will be established and equipped with modern AR/VR tools in the universities in India.
